Brex Integration
Connecting Brex to Rillet allows you to sync bills, charges, and reimbursements in real time.
When you complete the connection, Rillet syncs your GL accounts, custom fields, tax rates, vendors, and subsidiaries to Brex so your team can classify and sync transactions to Rillet
Before You Begin
Make sure you have admin access in both Rillet and Brex. You also need to confirm that your subsidiaries and accounts payable settings are already configured in Rillet.
Use this process to connect your Brex account and enable real-time syncing.
There are two ways to access the Brex integration:
Launchpad: Access the Brex integration through the Browse Integration section from the Launchpad.

Organization Settings:
Click your company logo in the lower-left corner of the screen.
Go to Organization Settings > Integrations.

Under Accounts Payable, select Brex > Connect.

Read the instructions and select Connect.

Log in to your Brex account.

Wait while Rillet syncs your data into Brex.

This includes:
GL accounts
Custom fields
VAT rates
Subsidiaries
Vendors
After the sync is complete, you return to Rillet’s integration settings.
Configure Subsidiary Settings
After connecting, you need to define how each subsidiary syncs transactions.
You can adjust these settings for each subsidiary in Brex:
Sync Data From: Choose a date to control which transactions will sync from Brex into Rillet based on a starting date.
Cards Payable Account: Select the liability account used for credit card transactions in Brex.
Reimbursements Payable Account: Select the liability account used for employee reimbursements.
Subsidiary Override: Connect individual subsidiaries to different Brex accounts when needed.

If you use subsidiary overrides, you must disconnect them before disconnecting the main Brex connection.
Complete Configuration in Brex
Your Brex workspace will now display all data synced from Rillet. You must review these settings so Brex knows how to map your accounting information.
Brex will show:
GL accounts
Custom fields
VAT rates
Subsidiaries
Vendors
Following these steps to complete the configuration in Brex:
Go to Accounting > Rillet Settings.

Adjust these settings for each subsidiary:
Accounting entity visibility and sync: Toggle on or off.
Spending entity: Select the Brex Entity for each subsidiary.
Manual Payments: Select the default GL account for each subsidiary.
Card repayment receivables: Select the default GL account for each subsidiary.
Reimbursement liability: Select the default GL account for each subsidiary.

Click Sync Settings to sync the changes.

Real-Time Syncing
After you configure both platforms, all exports from Brex occur in real time when the export/sync is initiated in Brex.
Transactions that you can export include:
Bills
Charges
Reimbursements
When you export a transaction in Brex using Direct to Rillet, it appears instantly in Rillet along with a link back to Brex and any attachments. Rillet also shows VAT, currency, and subsidiary information exactly as coded in Brex.
If a sync issue occurs, Brex displays the error so you can understand what caused the failure (for example, missing fields or VAT configuration mismatches).
Disconnect Brex from Rillet
You can disconnect the integration at any time.
When you disconnect:
Rillet clears all synced configuration data from Brex (GL accounts, subsidiaries, VAT rates, vendors, fields).
Existing charges and bills in Rillet remain unchanged.
The Brex account becomes available to connect to another Rillet workspace if needed.
To disconnect:
Go to Integrations in Rillet.
Under Accounts Payable, select the three dots next to Brex > Connected.
Click Disconnect.

Click Confirm to proceed.

If you have subsidiary overrides configured, disconnect them first.
