Viewing Fields in Income Statement Reporting

The Income Statement helps you analyze the profitability and financial performance of your organization. By leveraging fields, you can break down revenue and expenses by various dimensions.

To Access and Use Fields in the Income Statement:

1. Go to Reporting in the main menu.

2. Select Income Statement from the Financial Statement options.

   
3. Click the Customize button at the top of the Income Statement page.

   
4. In the customization menu, select Columns to adjust how the data is displayed.

5. You can break down the information by different dimensions such as Monthly, Quarterly, or by specific Stages and Departments. For instance, choosing Department gives you a clearer view of how different departments contribute to overall revenue and expenses.

   

Example Use Cases

• Departmental Performance: Analyze revenue by department (e.g., Engineering, Marketing) to identify areas that perform well or need support.

• Trend Analysis: Compare month-over-month revenue and expense trends for forecasting and financial planning.
