Matching and Unmatching Transactions with Rillet

You can match bank transactions in Rillet to existing transactions or create quick entries when no record exists. The sections below explain each matching option.

One-to-One Matching

To match one bank transaction to one Rillet transaction:

  1. Go to Cash Reconciliation.

  2. Select a bank transaction on the left side of the screen.

    • Rillet automatically displays possible matches on the right.

    • Click See All to view all eligible matches.

  3. Choose the correct Rillet transaction.

  4. Click Match in the bottom-right corner.

The transaction moves to the Matched section.

If no entry exists (for example, bank fees), you can create a quick entry:

  1. Click Quick Entry in the upper-right corner.

  2. Enter details such as:

    • Payer type

    • Vendor

    • Account

    • Department

  3. (Optional): Add extra accounts for a more detailed journal entry.

  4. Click Create and Match.

The quick entry will be created and matched automatically.

One-to-Multiple Matching

Rillet also supports matching one bank transaction to multiple Rillet transactions.

  • You can match a single bank transaction to multiple equal Rillet transactions.

  • If amounts differ slightly, use Match & Adjust to reconcile small variances such as bank fees.

To complete the match:

  1. Select the bank transaction.

  2. Choose multiple Rillet transactions.

  3. Click Match.

Unmatching a Transaction

If you make an incorrect match or quick entry, you can undo it:

  1. Go to the Matched tab at the top.

  2. Select the transaction you want to review.

  3. Click Unmatch to remove the link or delete the quick entry.

The transaction will return to the unmatched section.
