Create Bill Credits with FX

Creating bill credits in a multi-currency environment allows for accurate adjustments to previously recorded invoices. This process ensures that foreign exchange considerations are handled properly.

Process to Record Bill Credits in Foreign Currency

Follow these steps to create a bill credit with a foreign currency applied:

  1. Go to Accounts Payable > Bills.

  2. Locate the invoice you want to ajustar and click the invoice to open it.

  3. In the top right corner of the screen, click the three dots (...) and select Bill Credit.

  4. Complete the Bill Credit Form:

    • Vendor: Default(e.g., Apple).

    • Bill #: Default.

    • Date: Select the credit date (e.g., 04/09/2024).

    • Account: Default (e.g., Office Expenses & Supplies).

    • Amount: Enter the credit amount (e.g., €200.00).

      Note: The credit must be entered in the same currency as the original bill and the Credit Amount must be ≤ Amount Due on the bill.

  5. Click the Save button to record the invoice credit.

Once saved, the relevant journal entries will be created in the organization currency.
